Pisum sativum (60 days) With sweet peas and pods, Sugar Snap peas have developed quite a following, becoming a household name since its introduction in 1979. It is often touted as the most flavorful snap pea variety. The vines grow to 5' and need support. They bearing over a long picking period and yield well in both hot and cool weather. The pods are about 3" long. AAS Winner.
Please note: Most seed lots being sold commercially contain some snow peas or even shell peas. You may notice some snow peas (the pods will be flatter) in our seed lots. We are continuing our work with others to eliminate the off-types. We appreciate your patience and are happy you enjoy Sugar Snaps!
