Capsicum Annuum (55 green; 75-80 ripe) Various cultivars were allowed to freely cross in our gardens to make up this medley of red, orange, yellow, and chocolate sweet peppers. They all start out green and taste best when they reach full size, ripening to a rainbow of colors. Mother Nature loves to mix it up; we are taking our queue from her! Growing Notes
Start in shallow flats, planting 1/4" deep about 8 weeks prior to transplanting. Pepper seeds germinate slowly in cooler soil; if possible, maintain soil temperatures 80-90°F. When the first true leaves appear, transplant seedlings into 2" cells or 4" pots. Keep warm at 70°F by day and 60°F at night. Transplant after danger of frost when the soil is warm and weather is steady. Plant 12-18" apart in rows 24-36" between. (25 seeds/pkt)
