Growing Notes
To grow mexican sunflower from seed--direct seeding is recommended after last frost when soil temp. is 70-85˚F. Just barely cover seeds; light is required for germiantion.
For transplants, sow 6 weeks before last frost. Full sun (preferred) to half sun.
Poor to average, well drained soils; high fertility causes few blooms. Deadhead for longer bloom. Moderate moisture.
