It’s a New Year with a NEW growing season on the way! Our NEW catalog has been printed and mailed and is arriving in customers’ mailboxes! They’re available here! If you’ve ordered seed from us during the past 18 months, you’ll receive a complimentary copy—our gift to you!
AND we have some NEW varieties we’d love to share with you! They're HERE! Our NEW varieties are stocked and ready to ship! So exciting! Let me show you!
I’ve grown Painted Tongue in my flower garden for years! It’s like growing petunias with a twist. Their flowers will catch your eye—they’re such a color riot! They boast a wild profusion of trumpet-like flowers, that look a lot like petunias or morning glory but with bold, striking patterns. They kinda look like tie-dyed flowers! 😂
I love to make home-made pizza and I fell in love these new Pizza Peppers! They are so delicious. And not just for pizza. They’re the thickest-walled, crunchiest, and juiciest pepper you've ever bitten into! I’m thinking back to this summer— I would snitch a Pizza Pepper for a mid-day snack and eat it like an apple. And I would nibble every last bite, leaving only the seed cluster and stem. So good! You'll wanna get another! I know you’re gonna love ‘em!
Watermelon radish is an heirloom favorite and we’re so happy to add it to our offerings! This colorful-- and more importantly, refreshing juicy mild flavor will delight your taste buds! And it’s a great way to boost your intake of vitamins and minerals with very few calories. Big benefits with little effort! Add them to your salads, slice them for your veggie platter, and toss them into a stir fry. So yummy!!
We’ve been working to build our perennial offerings—cuz who doesn’t like planting once and getting limitless harvests year after year! 🙋♀️ YES, PLEASE! Enter French sorrel!
This leafy green with a lemony twist is a great addition to your perennial garden! A tangy taste sensation for salads, braising greens, soups and stews. As soon as the snow melts it’ll start growing tender, mild spring greens. An early spring salad or braised green side-dish! AND it can also be grown as an annual. So versatile!
Another classic heirloom—Spaghetti squash! It’s a great alternative to pasta, dating back to 1890! Yup! Pre-dates zucchini noodles! 😂
Just bake and scoop mounds of this unique squash—no need to spiralize! It literally falls way from the shell in long strands!
The strands look like spaghetti and have a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. Top it with your favorite Alfredo, pesto, or spaghetti sauce! Or simply butter, salt, and enjoy! This special ‘kid-friendly’ variety will become a family favorite! Especially great as a gluten-free and low-carb alternative.
We’re always trying to diversify and prolong our winter stash of veggies that can take us through the winter. Spaghetti squash and Waltham Butternut are two great additions to our winter storage line-up!
We love Waltham Butternut for curling up with a savory bowl of squash soup— a classic! Waltham Butternut’s other claim to fame is that it’s the most widely grown open-pollinated butternut squash!
At the request of long-time customers, we’re working to better adapt this variety to our short growing season! We’re so happy to work with this variety. Waltham is easy to grow and has a buttery rich, nutty, sweet flavor. AND did I mention how well it stores-- deep into the winter? CHECK!! ✅
I love sharing seeds of these ‘NEW’ offerings and heirloom classics with you! Diversity is the spice of life—especially in the garden! Don’t you agree? Enjoy!
