CERTIFIED ORGANIC, HEIRLOOM SEED, 1 packet (50 seeds)

Centaurea cyanus One of the most popular cottage wildflowers. Very easy to grow from seed and a self-seeding annual, so there's little need to replant. Bachelor's Buttons were brought to America in the 17th century. A vigorous species, drought resistant, with a wide-ranging adaptability. You can grow this! NOTE: This species is considered invasive in some states in the southeastern U.S. Check your region's invasive species list for full information.

Growing Notes
Sow outdoors just before the last frost or shortly after. Plant seeds just beneath the surface of the soil. Germination 7-14 days.
Or start indoors 4-6 weeks before planting date, planting outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked.
Can also be fall planted, when it is too cold to germinate seeds and soil temperatures are below 45 degrees F; the seed will lay dormant through the winter.
Prefers full sun, cool temperatures, well-drained average soils, and moderate water. Tends to sprawl without some support and are easily flattened by wind. Blooms early to mid-season and blooms throughout the summer. Height 12-24". Zones 3-10.
NOTE: This species is considered invasive in some states in the southeastern United States. Please check your state's invasive species list for more information before ordering.
